Luis Narváez: Duality of integrable logarithmic connections and symmetry of b-functions

Abstract:  Recently Granger and Schulze have discovered the symmetry about $-1$ of the 
roots of b-functions for reductive prehomogeneous determinants and for regular special 
free divisors. However, this symmetry has been observed in many other examples, and an 
explanation is due. In this talk I will explain why the same symmetry is true for any 
free divisor of linear Jacobian type.
