Algebraic and topological interplay of algebraic varieties
A Conference in Honor of the 60th Birthday of Enrique Artal and the 55th Birthday of Alejandro Melle

versión en español

The aim of this conference is to approach Singularity Theory from the point of view of the multiple connections between Topology, Algebra, Geometry, and Number Theory.
This meeting is structured so that it brings together both senior world-renowned specialists in the subject, young researchers, and graduate students.
For this purpose we combine plenary talks, poster sessions, and two mini courses.

The conference will take place in Jaca (Huesca, Spain) in the Pyrenees from June 12 through June 17, 2023.

The strategic singular location of this ancient city in the Pyrenees will allow us to enjoy the talks as well as the landscape.

We encourage junior participants and other under-represented groups to participate in this conference. Any available funding will be used to help them. Please request financial help if you need it when registering. We will contact you to discuss your needs. We thank our funding institutions for making this possible.
